Welcome, wayward guests.
Camp Gordon will be taking over Umshanti for the wedding weekend, and we would love for as many guests as possible to stay on-site with us from Friday to Sunday.
The venue is beautiful, relaxed and very much part of the whole weekend experience — dam views, braais, fresh air, camp-style living, and the occasional highly organised piece of chaos.
We strongly encourage everyone to arrive on Friday and stay for the full weekend so you can enjoy the dam, the facilities and the full Camp Gordon experience.
Accommodation is limited, so preference will be given to guests staying for both Friday and Saturday night. After that, bookings will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
If the cottages fill up, don’t panic — there is plenty of space to book a campsite and join the outdoor division of Camp Gordon.
R600 per person per night
The cottages at Camp Gordon are shared, basic and rustic — but they have all the essentials for a comfortable weekend.
Cottages include bedding and access to a fully equipped kitchen. Please bring your own towels.
Couples will not be expected to share rooms with other guests. However, cottages themselves may be shared with other guests, and room allocations will be handled by us based on groups, couples, families and general camp logistics.
Guests will not be able to choose a specific cottage or room, but we will do our best to keep things sensible, comfortable and socially survivable.

R220 per person per night
For guests who prefer the full camp experience, camping is available on-site.
Please bring your own tent, bedding, towels, camping chairs, lights and any other camp gear you need.
Camping is a great option if the cottages are full, or if you simply enjoy pretending you are more outdoorsy than you are.

How to book
To keep things simple, accommodation requests will be handled through the RSVP form.
We will be managing the accommodation bookings ourselves, so once we receive your RSVP, we’ll check availability and confirm your stay with you directly.
Please note that submitting an accommodation request does not automatically secure your spot. Your booking will be confirmed once the 50% deposit has been paid.
The final balance is due by Halloween — 31 October 2026 — because nothing says “spooky season” quite like outstanding admin.

Camp Notes
A few important notes before you pack your bags:
Cottage rooms will be allocated by Camp Management, aka Paul & Casey.
Cottages are rustic, shared and comfortable — not the Ritz, but considerably more charming.
Campers must bring their own tent and camping gear.
One child stays free when sharing with their parents.
If cottage space runs out, campsites will still be available.
